Sewer Line Repair and Replacement in Highlands Ranch

Summit Heating, A/C, Plumbing & Electrical repairs and replaces sewer lines for homeowners across Highlands Ranch. The sewer line carries everything from your house drains to the public sewer, and when it cracks, sags or fills with roots, drains back up no matter how often they’re cleared. We find the problem with a camera, show you what we see, and repair or replace the line by excavation. We don’t do trenchless work.

Plumbing service fee: $60, waived when you approve the repair. Your technician reviews the estimate with you. You can approve it on the spot or later through a link to the estimate.

Signs of a Broken Sewer Line, Not Just a Clog

Several drains back up at once

A blockage or break in the main line

Sewage in a floor drain or lower tub

The main line can't carry flow away

Drain cleaning only helps for a few weeks

Roots, a sag, or broken pipe catching debris

Sewage smell outside, or a soggy patch over the line

A break letting waste escape

If you’re seeing these, a drain cleaning may get water moving, but it won’t fix a broken pipe.

Sewer Camera Inspection First, Then a Repair Plan

Your plumber runs a camera through the line to find where the problem is, how deep, and what caused it. You see the footage. Then you get the options: a section repair where the damage is local, or full sewer line replacement where the line has failed along its length. Both are done by excavation, and both are on-site estimates. If the line is sound but coated with buildup, hydro jetting may be the right answer instead.

How a Sewer Line Repair Works

  1. Call (720) 870-1580 or request service online.
  2. Your plumber clears what’s needed to get flow back and inspects the line with a camera.
  3. You get a written on-site estimate. Approve it on the spot or later from the link.
  4. We confirm the permit requirements with Douglas County and pull what’s required.
  5. We excavate, repair or replace the line, and backfill.
  6. Where a permit applies, the county inspects before we close up.
Hours: Monday to Friday 7am to 6pm, Saturday and Sunday 8am to 3pm. After hours: our answering service takes your call and we call back the next business day.

Sewer Scopes When Selling a Highlands Ranch Home

A sewer scope is not legally required at sale in Colorado. Buyers commonly request one, and the Seller’s Property Disclosure asks whether one was done. If a buyer’s scope finds a problem, we can look at the footage, confirm it with our own camera inspection, and price the repair.

Douglas County Plumbing Code and Inspections for Sewer Work

Highlands Ranch is unincorporated Douglas County, which adopted the 2024 plumbing code effective July 1, 2026. Douglas County runs its own plumbing inspection program, so a permitted plumbing job in Highlands Ranch is inspected by the county, not the state. We excavate sewer lines across the community, from BackCountry near Mountain Vista High School to the 80130 neighborhoods near Daniels Gate Park. (Checked Nov 2026.)

Colorado licenses plumbers as Residential Plumber, Journeyworker Plumber and Master Plumber, and a plumbing contractor’s registration is attached to a Master Plumber. Anyone other than the homeowner who isn’t a registered plumbing contractor may not do plumbing work on your property.
