Whole-Home Repiping in Denver for Homes That Outlived Their Pipes

Summit Heating, A/C, Plumbing & Electrical replaces the water supply piping in homes across Denver and nearby Denver-metro communities. This page is for you if you keep calling a plumber for leaks in different places, your water pressure keeps dropping, or the house still has old galvanized steel pipe. Your plumber looks at the whole system, explains whether a repipe makes sense or a repair will do, and reviews the estimate with you. You can approve it on the spot or later through a link to the estimate.

We repipe homes, but we don’t do tiling or remodel work. That keeps the job focused on the pipes, and we tell you up front what finish work you’ll need afterward.

A Google reviewer summed up how we like to work: “no runaround or unnecessary upselling” (Raymond, Google review).
Plumbing service fee: $60, waived when you approve the repair.

When a Whole-Home Repipe Beats Another Pipe Repair

Leaks keep showing up in different places

The pipe itself is failing, not one fitting

Low pressure at most fixtures

Old galvanized steel narrows inside as it corrodes

Rusty or discolored water from the hot and cold side

Corrosion inside old steel pipe

Many patched sections from past repairs

Each repair adds joints and leaves old pipe in place

A big project is coming that opens walls anyway

Repiping at the same time can save a second round of access

One leak is usually a repair, and we’d rather fix it than sell you a repipe. See pipe repair.

How a Whole-Home Repipe Works

  1. You call or book online, and we schedule a visit during business hours.
  2. Your plumber walks the house, finds where the pipes run, and checks the material and condition. If you called about a leak, the plumbing service fee is $60, waived when you approve the repair.
  3. Your technician reviews the estimate with you. You can approve it on the spot or later through a link to the estimate.
  4. If the work needs a permit, we pull it as your contractor (DORA, checked November 2026). Denver works from the 2025 Denver Building and Fire Code, based on the 2024 International Codes (Denver CPD, checked November 2026).
  5. We plan access openings with you, run the new supply lines, connect each fixture, pressure-test the system and clean up.

Copper vs. PEX: Choosing a Repipe Material

The two common choices for repiping are copper and PEX. They differ in cost, how they’re run through walls and how they’re joined. Your plumber explains which fits your home and why, and you choose before work starts.

What a Whole-Home Repipe Covers and What It Doesn't

We don’t do tiling or remodel work. Where we open a wall or ceiling to run pipe, we keep the openings as small as the work allows and tell you where they’ll be before we start. Your plumber tells you what finish work to plan for afterward.

The buried line from the street is a separate job. See water line repair and replacement, or lead service line replacement if your service line is lead.

Repiping Cost and What Changes It

We don’t publish repipe price ranges, because the job depends on the house.

Size of the home and number of bathrooms

More fixtures mean more pipe and connections

How many floors

Vertical runs take more access

Finished basements and ceilings

Finished spaces take more care to open

Pipe material you choose

Copper and PEX price differently

Code updates

Older systems often need updates to meet current code

Our Pricing Commitment:

All advertised starting prices are for qualifying standard installations. Actual costs may vary based on equipment, accessibility, existing plumbing conditions, and applicable local code requirements.

A licensed Summit plumbing professional will assess the property, explain available options, and provide final pricing for approval before work begins.

Hours for Repiping Calls Across the Denver Metro

We take calls Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 3pm. After hours: our answering service takes your call and we call back the next business day.

Repiping Questions from Denver Homeowners

It depends on the size of the home, the number of bathrooms and floors, finished spaces and the pipe material. We don’t post ranges that may not fit your house. You get a written estimate and final pricing for approval before work begins.
Not always. If one section is failing, a repair is usually the right call, and we say so. A repipe makes sense when leaks keep moving around the house or old galvanized pipe is restricting flow.
Each has trade-offs in cost and installation. Your plumber explains which suits your home, and you choose before work starts.
We open only what we need to run the new pipe, and we show you where the openings will be before we start. We don’t do tiling or remodel work, so your plumber tells you what finish work to plan for.
If the work needs a permit, we pull it as your contractor.
