Indoor Air Quality Built Into Your Littleton HVAC System

Summit Heating, A/C, Plumbing & Electrical installs indoor air quality equipment for homeowners in Littleton from our shop at 8091 Shaffer Pkwy, Suite C. Our Google Business Profile lists the work: air filters, air purification systems, UV lights and whole-home dehumidifiers. Each one fits your furnace or air handler, so it treats the air your system already moves through the house. It’s for households dealing with dust, a damp basement, or an older system that just recirculates whatever is in the air. Your technician looks at your system, explains which option fits, and gives you an estimate to approve now or later.

HVAC diagnostic: $99.95. Your technician reviews the estimate with you. You can approve it on the spot or later through a link to the estimate.

Indoor Air Quality Options We Install

  • Upgraded air filtration What it does: A better filter cabinet and filter at the furnace or air handler; Fits when: Dust builds up fast, or the current filter slot is a thin one
  • Air cleaners and purifiers What it does: Whole-home units that treat air as it passes through the system; Fits when: You want more than a filter swap
  • UV lights What it does: Lights installed in the system near the coil; Fits when: You want to treat the coil area inside the equipment
  • Whole-home dehumidifiers What it does: Remove moisture through the duct system; Fits when: A basement feels damp or musty in summer
For dry winter air, the fix runs the other way: see whole-home humidifiers.

What Our Indoor Air Quality Service Does Not Include

We don’t do duct cleaning, duct sealing or ductwork. If your air problem comes from the ducts themselves, we’ll say so before you pay for equipment that won’t solve it.

Filters and air cleaners are not radon mitigation. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment reports that about half of Colorado homes exceed the EPA radon action level of 4.0 pCi/L, and every Colorado county is EPA Zone 1. (CDPHE, checked Nov 2026.)

How an Indoor Air Quality Visit Works

  1. Call (720) 870-1580 or request service online. Hours are Monday to Friday 7am to 6pm and Saturday and Sunday 8am to 3pm. After hours: our answering service takes your call and we call back the next business day.
  2. Your technician looks at your furnace or air handler, the filter setup and the space around it, and asks what’s bothering you about the air.
  3. You get a written estimate for the option that fits. Approve it on the spot, or later through the link.
  4. We install the equipment, show you how to maintain it, and clean up.

Indoor Air Quality Equipment Cost Factors in Littleton

We don’t post IAQ prices yet; you see the price before any work starts.

What changes the price:
  • Which option you choose, and its size for your system.
  • Space at the furnace or air handler for a filter cabinet or unit.
  • Electrical and drain connections (UV lights and dehumidifiers need them).
  • The condition of the existing system.
Ask about our maintenance memberships.

IAQ Service Around Littleton, Columbine and Chatfield

Our shop sits near C-470 and West Chatfield Avenue. Columbine and the 80128 homes toward Chatfield State Park are about 3 miles away; the West Mineral Avenue and South Santa Fe Drive area and the neighborhoods around Columbine Valley City Hall are about 6 miles out.

When an install adds an electrical circuit or a drain line inside city limits, the permit goes through the City of Littleton Building Division’s eTRAKiT portal, which covers new circuits and regulated plumbing work. Unincorporated Jefferson or Arapahoe county addresses with a Littleton mailing address go through their county. We pull it. (Checked Nov 2026.)

Whole-Home Humidifiers and HVAC Tune-Ups

For dry winter air, see whole-home humidifiers. IAQ equipment works with the furnace, so a yearly furnace tune-up and spring AC tune-up keep it all checked. Replacing the system? Add IAQ to a furnace replacement estimate.

The Littleton HVAC page lists everything else. Across the metro, see indoor air, air filters, air cleaners and purifiers and UV lights. Ken Caryl is next door to our shop.

Indoor Air Quality Questions from Littleton Homeowners

Upgraded air filtration, whole-home air cleaners and purifiers, UV lights and whole-home dehumidifiers, all fitted to your furnace or air handler. For dry winter air, we install whole-home humidifiers.
No. We don’t do duct cleaning, duct sealing or ductwork. If the ducts are the source of the problem, we’ll tell you before you buy equipment that won’t fix it.
No. Filters and air cleaners are not radon mitigation. CDPHE reports that about half of Colorado homes exceed the EPA radon action level, so radon needs its own test and its own fix.
It depends on the option and your system. Your technician looks at the equipment and gives you a written estimate, and you can approve it on the spot or later through a link.
Yes. It’s often simpler to add a filter cabinet, air cleaner or humidifier during a furnace replacement, and it can go on the same estimate.
