Water Filtration Installation from Our Littleton Shop

Summit Heating, A/C, Plumbing & Electrical has licensed plumbers installing whole-home water filtration and scale-reduction systems for homeowners in Littleton, from our shop at 8091 Shaffer Pkwy, Suite C. It’s for households that don’t like the taste or smell of their tap water, see white scale on fixtures and kettles, or want filtered water at every faucet instead of a pitcher in the fridge. Your plumber looks at where the main line enters the house, explains which system fits, and gives you the final price for approval before work begins.

Plumbing service fee: $60, waived when you approve the repair. Your technician reviews the estimate with you. You can approve it on the spot or later through a link to the estimate.

Flow-Tech and Novo Water Treatment Starting Prices

  • Flow-Tech (Plumber’s Choice) What it does: Non-salt scale-reduction water treatment. It doesn’t use salt.; Starting price: $2,700

Littleton Water Hardness: Why We Don't Quote One Number

We haven’t verified a hardness figure for every water supplier that serves Littleton addresses, so we don’t publish one. If your water comes from Denver Water, its 2025 data shows average total hardness of about 105 mg/L (about 6.1 grains per gallon), ranging from 55 to 124 mg/L, with the south system at 75 to 120 mg/L and harder water in winter. Denver Water calls that soft to moderately hard and treats it as an aesthetic issue, not a health one. Your number depends on your address. (Denver Water, checked Nov 2026.)

So we start with what you’re seeing at the tap. If scale is the problem, Flow-Tech is the lower-cost option. If taste, odor or chlorine is the problem, whole-home carbon filtration is the better fit.

How a Water Treatment Install Works

  1. Call (720) 870-1580 or request service online. Hours are Monday to Friday 7am to 6pm and Saturday and Sunday 8am to 3pm. After hours: our answering service takes your call and we call back the next business day.
  2. Your plumber looks at the main water line, the space near it, and what you want the system to fix.
  3. You see the final price for approval. Approve it on the spot, or later through the link.
  4. We install the system on the main line, connect bypass valves, check for leaks and clean up.
  5. If the install relocates piping, we pull the permit for your address.

City of Littleton Permits for Water Treatment Installs

Inside city limits, the City of Littleton Building Division’s permit list covers “plumbing piping or fixture relocations” and other regulated plumbing work, filed through eTRAKiT under the 2024 International Plumbing Code. Littleton registers plumbing contractors under a Class P registration. Unincorporated Jefferson County addresses around Columbine and Chatfield State Park, and unincorporated Arapahoe County addresses, go through their county. (Checked Nov 2026.)

Columbine is about 3 miles from our shop; homes near Southbridge Park and West Mineral Avenue, or Columbine Valley City Hall and West Belleview Avenue, are about 6.

Water Filtration Questions from Littleton Homeowners

Whole-home filtration with Novo or HALO 125 systems starts at $5,500, and Flow-Tech scale reduction starts at $2,700. Starting prices are for qualifying standard installations, and your plumber gives you the final price for approval before work begins.
No. Flow-Tech is a non-salt scale-reduction system, so there’s no salt to buy or refill. It’s aimed at scale, not at taste or odor, which is what whole-home filtration handles.
It depends on your supplier and address, so we don’t publish one number. Denver Water’s 2025 average was about 105 mg/L, which it calls soft to moderately hard.
Start with what bothers you. Scale on fixtures points to Flow-Tech. Taste, odor or chlorine points to whole-home carbon filtration. Your plumber explains the fit before you approve anything.
